Carved with a 3D double-line checkered pattern texture, these durable yet lightweight 12 oz. Celadon mugs have comfortable handles and are perfect for your favorite warm coffee, espresso drink, tea, or beverage!

Handmade stoneware checkered ceramic mugs are thrown on a pottery wheel then carved by hand with a double line to define the checkered pattern in the clay. Hand-pulled handles are carefully attached before being fired in the kiln, then handpainted with light blue celadon glaze on the outside with additional layered glazes to create a contrasting checkered pattern. The inside of the mug is glazed with white celadon, which allows the clays natural speckles to show through.

> Wheel-thrown by a mom of 2 in Costa Mesa, CA, then hand trimmed, finished, and fired in the kiln; then handpainted or hand dipped with multiple glaze colors and fired for a final time at over 2100°F
> Diamond-sanded by hand to ensure a smooth, non-scratching bottom/foot

Each mug is handmade and hand painted. The mugs are thrown on a wheel, carved and altered with a handle, fired, then glazed to create a checkered pattern. Please always use caution with hot liquids.

Items in a set are thrown and designed to similar specs to match in size, color, and motif. Each piece is handmade from start to finish. There may be variations from piece to piece, which is part of the handmade process.

- Items are carefully packed to prevent damage during the transit process.

Handmade items, by nature, may have minor imperfections or inconsistencies, and the glazing & firing process can especially be unpredictable. This is what makes handcrafted work unique.
