Ceramic Lidded Jar, Coral Sea Luster, for Jewelry Trinkets

Handmade stoneware ceramic jar, perfect for any home with coastal beach decor — a special jar for any special treats! The 5” x 5” lidded jar is a great size for jewelry or trinkets, and it’s also food safe for any snacks or candies. Ready to ship with free shipping.

The coral knob was delicately formed by first pushing clay through a screen to get a coral-like texture, then carefully attaching to the top of a wheel-thrown closed form vessel.

The jar was thrown on the wheel as a closed form with the lid, all made together in one piece. Once the piece dries to a leather hard stage, the lid is carefully cut off and the body of the vessel, and then the lid and jar are trimmed together for a perfect fit. The piece is also trimmed on the bottom to create a foot, and a jar knob was carefully formed on top by hand. The jar is fired, then handpainted & glazed in multiple colors to create a beautiful design, and then fired for a final time.

> Food safe; dishwashing not recommended for the lid of the jar due to decorative fragile nature of the “coral” knob which was carefully made from pressing clay through a screen!
> Durable & Lightweight Stoneware Ceramic: Bmix white clay, fired and glazed with non-toxic glazes
> Pieces are wheel-thrown by a mom of 2 in Costa Mesa, CA, then hand trimmed, finished, and fired in the kiln; then handpainted or hand dipped with multiple glaze colors and fired for a final time at over 2100°F
