Each mug is handmade. The mugs are thrown on a wheel, fired, then handpainted with two types of glazes to create a streaky oily look. The “Midnight Rain” glaze has crystals in the it that “bloom” and run in the kiln during the firing process, creating a striking rainy, streaky look. The mugs were fired in the kiln for a third time with real 22 karat gold and white gold luster, handpainted in a checkered pattern. Made with Speckled Buff clay. Mugs are diamond sanded by hand to ensure smooth texture of bare clay. These are non-handled drinking vessels; please use caution with hot liquids and avoid using for extra hot beverages.
