Each bowl was thrown on the pottery wheel with Laguna Speckled Buff tan clay or Aardvark Charcoal black clay then a swirl was carved into the bottom while still on the wheel. The Matcha bowl’s spout was formed right after the vessel is lifted off the wheel. After drying a bit, the pot is flipped over on the wheel to get trimmed and a is foot added. After firing in the kiln, each bowl was glazed with non-toxic food-safe glazes to create gorgeous ocean inspired coastal colors.
