Olive Oil Vinegar Bottle Cruet, Hand-Carved Swirl “Tefiti” Design

Handmade stoneware ceramic olive oil or vinegar cruet bottle, named after my 2 year old daughter’s favorite movie, Moana. The olive oil bottle has been hand-carved and designed with 3D elements using a slip trailing technique (see below). The swirl design is reminiscent of the Heart of Tefiti. The narrow necked bottle comes with a gold, silver or rose gold weighted pouring spout, for a smooth pour of oil or vinegar. (Please let me know if you have a preference or want to see options before I ship it!)

The bottle was thrown on the wheel, then embellished by hand with multiple techniques. First, liquified clay was applied to the clay, using a slip trailing technique. Then the design was hand carved to create lower valleys and higher peaks in the surface of the clay. This ultimately allows the multiple glaze colors to interact more with a sculptural texture in the clay. The bottle was trimmed and fired, glazed in multiple colors, and then fired a second time. Gold Lustered pieces have been handpainted with real 22K gold luster and fired in the kiln a third time to enhance the hand-carved design. Dishwasher safe —however, for 22K gold lustered pieces hand washing strongly recommended to extend the life and beauty of the luster.

> Durable Stoneware Ceramic: Bmix white clay, fired and glazed with non-toxic glazes
> Top Rack dishwasher safe
> For Olive oil bottles lustered with gold: Due to the real 22K gold metal materials used in the luster, the piece(s) should NOT be used in microwave. Wash with Care. While the piece is top rack dishwasher safe, the gold luster can fade and it is not recommended.

All pieces are designed by me - Courtney, and every piece is individually handcrafted on a wheel and uniquely glazed. There may be variations from piece to piece, which is part of the handmade process.
