“The Rothko” cocktail / stemless wine cups each feature a 3 glaze colors to create a tri-color mood-inducing glaze effect similar to the great modern artist, Mark Rothko. Add a touch of modern art sophistication with your wine or cocktail of choice with these durable yet lightweight 12 oz. cups.

Handmade stoneware ceramic cup tumblers are thrown on a pottery wheel then trimmed and fired in the kiln, then handpainted with 3 layered glazes on the outside to create a Rothko-inspired, mood evoking design. The inside of the mug is glazed with either a light Seafoam sheer glaze or a satin white glaze, which both allow the clay’s natural speckles to show through.

> Food-safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher top rack safe
> Durable & Lightweight Stoneware Ceramic: Speckled Buff tan clay, fired and glazed with non-toxic, lead-free glazes
> Wheel-thrown by a mom of 2 in Costa Mesa, CA, then hand trimmed, finished, and fired in the kiln; then handpainted or hand dipped with multiple glaze colors and fired for a final time at over 2100°F
> Diamond-sanded by hand to ensure a smooth, non-scratching bottom/foot

Each mug is handmade and hand painted. The mugs are thrown on a wheel, trimmed, fired, then glazed and fired a final time.

High quality ceramics, hand thrown on a pottery wheel, trimmed, fired, and glazed in Costa Mesa, California. All pieces are designed by me - Courtney, and every piece is individually handcrafted on a wheel and uniquely glazed. Items in a set are thrown and designed to similar specs to match in size, color, and motif. Each piece is handmade from start to finish. There may be variations from piece to piece, which is part of the handmade process.

- Listing is for the ceramic pieces only (vase, planter/pot, bowl, cup, etc.) and does not include any other props which are used for staging, scale, and examples of use.
- Items are carefully packed to prevent damage during the transit process.
- The photos shown are of the original pieces, now sold out. Revisiting this classic pattern and will make them again when ordered.
- Measurements of pieces are approximate. We try to include photos of measurements and provide photos that attempt to show scale.
- All items are handmade with clay and glaze, and any item you purchase is one of a kind. There are no two items in the shop that are exactly the same. Handmade items, by nature, may have minor imperfections or inconsistencies, and the glazing & firing process can especially be unpredictable. This is what makes handcrafted work unique.
